Fall Foliage in Kyoto – Nanzenji
Comments are closed.
Nanzenji is a Zen Buddhist temple located in the Higashiyama area of Kyoto. It is one of the most spectacular temples with a massive Sanmon front gate, famous gardens, and a large complex surrounded by many sub-temples.
Nanzenji is also one of the most beautiful fall foliage spots in Kyoto. Maple leaves around the Sanmon gate and nearby canal start to change colors around November. Autumn leaf colors and historical structures will be perfect backdrops of your Kimono photos.
It is only 6 minutes subway ride to get to Nanzenji from Kyoto City Hall, our nearest subway station.
